Medallion Lessons

Looking for information on making a medallion quilt? You’ve come to the right place! Under this tab you’ll find a growing list of links to help you create a medallion of your own design. You can choose a center block, and design borders to enhance it and each other. Learn about design concepts such as unity, proportion, balance, movement, color, value, shape, and line.

Some links will be replaced over time, as I develop better ways to illustrate similar concepts. The replaced posts will remain published, though, in case you have them bookmarked individually.

Have questions about medallion topics you don’t see covered? Drop me an email — I’ll either point you to existing posts or perhaps write one to address your question! You can find me at catbirdquilts at gmail dot com
