right?
I mean, who wouldn’t have fun stitching a picture into a quilt, with the top tension looking GREAT!! and the bottom tension looking like heck? Who wouldn’t love to do that??
Even more, who wouldn’t want to spend much more time picking stitches than putting them in?
SO MUCH FUN!!
How’s you quilting going today? Are you having fun? What are you working on? I’d love to hear about it in comments.
That’s never fun.
I’ve found that listening to an audiobook takes a lot of the sting out of my sewing misadventures. ^.^
Nope, really not fun. I haven’t gotten into audio books. I’m kinda torn, as I’d like to get a lot more reading into my life, but I also really like the quiet of nothing on. Thanks a lot for reading and commenting today.
Ouch! Maybe you need a backside view mirror so you can check on the underside’s doings before you stitch a whole lot that needs to be removed. One advantage of FMQ on a domestic machine is such messes tend to get noticed sooner.
Yes. I had done a fairly large amount of quilting with checking regularly, but it going well. Then I did this stretch that looked great, but was kind of a mess. 😦 And since then, I can’t get it back to the quality I want. Will work more on it — after a nap.
A little trip down memory lane for me where the seam ripper can be opposite of friendly.
Good Luck with your machine! Hopeful no more tangled messes ahead. 🙂
Well, it’s better. But I’m not thrilled yet… Thanks!
I can totally relate. Not something I look forward to. I am very a tuned to the sounds my machine makes when it is stitching properly and when it is not. This comes from years of experience. Most of the time I can head it off early. On those unfortunate occasions when I don’t I have to tell myself to relax, take many deep breaths then proceed. It’s definitely not something I like to do. So sorry! ;(
Thanks for the sympathy!
Wow that image is like something from a quilters’ horror movie Ha😀
Indeed! I still need to do some machine maintenance tomorrow. It is better, but not as good as it should be. Thanks.
Spaghettiiiiiii! Pity it isn’t edible! LOL!
mmm, spaghetti sounds good! Certainly better than this mess! 🙂
Pretty sure that looks like something I just did. You are not alone.
Nope, we all have things to do and re-do. Thanks Lori!
You missed a photo of my pile. 🙂
Yes, I did!
“Unsewing” is one my finest (and practiced) talents! I always remind myself “it’s part of the process” LOL!
Exactly! I certainly would be glad if it never happened, but it does. I try to grin and bear it. Thanks.
Oh no! Lots of sympathy, and hope for a day tomorrow where all the steps are forward and none back!
Thanks, Kate!
I’ve had these kind of days😶
I’m away from my sewing room for a few days, but I have some quilted table runner projects waiting for me.
I am ever hopeful that it will be better. 🙂 Thanks.
