My current quilting project is quite slow, as I knew it would be. I’m working with the rulers and base again, and learning a lot of little tricks with these new tools.
During breaks from that, I’ve been cutting for my next project. What do you think so far?
Super colours. I can’t wait to see what it will be.
I’m enjoying them. Thanks for taking a look.
Wonderful colors! I have some stacks of fabrics and jelly roll strips for a future project loosely based on the color wheel. This reminds me of that somewhat. I really love the looks of quilts that have mixed hues. I’m looking forward to seeing your plan!
I haven’t done this kind of thing before. I’ll credit my sister with suggesting using the rainbow for this particular project. I think it will be striking and rather modern looking when done.
Thanks!
Love working with these colors – so colorful and happy! Anxious to see what you do with these strips.
Hi! Thanks for taking a look. It’s going together quickly, so you may see more soon.
Those are beautiful and just what is needed right now!!! My post today is a project using stash batiks (which I didn’t really know I had!!!!!). I have never used batiks in anything so, when I went through my totes, I was stunned by the amount I had. I’m really lovin’ this one! Can’t wait to see your creation!!!!!! Hugs……………………….
Thanks, Doreen! I really really REEEALLY needed that hug. Good timing!
Love your fabrics!
Thank you. I’m having fun worker with brights!
I’m DYING to do a rainbow quilt. I definitely have to get that on the to do list. Yours is so pretty.
This is just strips in the photo. This afternoon I started cutting and laying out the pieces. Thanks!
I was just gifted with two batik jelly rolls two weeks ago and wondering what to do with them. Jelly roll race quilt seemed too predictable for me….so I will be watching your postings for ideas! 😀
Ah, that will be fun! I haven’t used jelly rolls. These are mostly from bits and pieces in my stash. Except the background fabric, the biggest piece I needed from anything was 13.5″ x 3″. So I cut 3″ strips and will cut my pieces from those. It’s one of those I will need to lay out ALL the pieces for arrangement before stitching at all. Fortunately the stitching will be simple, cuz the rest of it will be a little mental work!
Thanks for stopping today and commenting.
